BlackArmor NAS 400 says NoSystemHDDFound

Hi,

I bought a brand new BlackArmor NAS 400.

After adding a HDD to the system and booting it, the display shows the following message:

NoSystemHDDFound

IP: 192.168.1.2

I am neither able to discover the NAS 400 via discovery tool, nor to connect to it via Web interface.

The system is pingable and when I try to connect via telnet the login is shown.

What else can I do for error detection / soloution?

Thanks in advance.

same problem here. I bow my head in shame :smileysad: After adding some supported harddrives 4X2TB

"Seagate Barracuda LP ST32000542AS". My Nas 400 now works as it should.

look at this page aswell http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=212777

If I wanted to have a product, that worked with every vendor of drives. Then maybe... I should have chosen another NAS. Clearly.. Seagate does not support the reliability of the Samsung drives I started out with.

Thank you "Seagate Support" for your quick reply.
