hy guys!
i am form austira and my english is not so good, but i hope you can help me!
i have bought an seagate blackarmor nas 110 and have updated the newest firmware 1000.1081 that should support mkv-files. i have an samsung led-tv ue46c7700 and an samsung blurayplayer bd-c6900 that support playing video, pictures and music over network. but i have the problem, that on both device pictures and music played over network without problems, but videos are not shown (there comes a failure "non supported videocodec).
when i copy the same video on an usb-stick, put it in tv or blurayplayer, the video (mkv-file) would be shown without problems. so i think, that there must be a failure on the blackarmor nas in the dlna-mediaserver. die files would be shown on the tv or blurayplayer, but they couldn´t be played.
i hope you have any idea to help me with me problem, because normaly seagate have very good products. when it is not possible to make the nas functionally for me, i must buy an product from an other firm and I want to actually avoid that.

Hello Berny -
I don't have a direct answer for you but...
You may want to read this post HERE where one of our forum members "mediumpace" puts DLNA into prospective and why things don't work as expected between consumer products that are DLNA Certified.
Cheers

I don't have a Samsung LED-TV but I do have a Samsung LCD TV connected to a Seagate FreeAgent Theater+ Media Player which is connected to the network along with a BA NAS 110. I successfully played an .mkv movie through Theater+ media player from the BlackArmor NAS 110.
Since you receive "non supported video codec" re-render the movie with something like Handbrake with default settings and check the results.
