This is driving me insane. I have a Black Armor NAS. There are complaints from the staff that they can’t save to the device and that when they load photos it goes missing. On the save side they are working with word, excel and CorelDraw files. When they open a file from the NAS they need to save as.. since the file is locked but only one person have the file open at that stage. They are using public access on the device sine they never remember their passwords.
On the photos that get lost, the system is not setup as a media server. When I first heard the complaint I have updated the firmware on the device to the latest that is available on the web.
Now a month have passed and I still sit with the same issues, users can’t save they need to save as the whole time and there is photos that get missing. Some people don’t have issues and other have them.
System config is as follows, HP notebooks with windows 7 CorelDraw 6 and office 2010. Some connect via Wi-Fi to the network and other cable. The problems are with both the Wi-Fi and ones connected via cable.
Please advise should there be a solution to this
