We've have 2 Seagate Black Armor 440 in our office. One is for backups via Backup Assist and the other is for Archives.
They have been very productive for us. The one for backups had the drive in bay 4 die twice but Seagate has replaced them under warranty both times and has been running well since the second replacement.
The main problem I have with them is the native NAS TO USB function. It is horrible. Not only do you lose the progress if you click off the inital screen where you started it, sometimes they run and never complete.
I've been looking for other options to get the data off via various copy and/or backup software over network path from the NAS to USB drive attached to another server and same results...SLOW or backups that never complete.
Anyone else with these problems?
