Hi. bought a freeagent500 and started backing up old hard drive(s). i thought this would be a great way to keep data around just in case, and still access it while giving a clean start to a full pc/laptop. it backed up fine, verified ok, i then went to another machine and mounted the image - but can't view my "personal" docunents folder - NO Acess - Acess is denied.
So thats great, the only place i really store stuff and i cant get to it now. im so glad i didnt reformat yet be fore verifying this proceedure.
So my question is What can I do to acess the info? If i cant - what can i do before backing up to BE Able to acess info.
I am assuming some kind of switch or switches need to be toggled or is there no way of getting data unless its reloaded / booted from harddrive / logged in. Please Help.
