Hi
Just after some help after buying 6 seagate drives and a flex net dock and having nothing but problems with it dropping off the network all the time. Seagate support called me 2 weeks ago and recommended I try it on my home network which I did but no difference so I emailed them right back and nothing... so I emailed them again and nothing...
Hopefully someone can help me - my emails are below - thanks

Hi
Am I able to get any more support for my faulty Seagate drives and dock? It's been a week since I last sent an email asking for help and over 2 weeks since I last heard from your support???
Should I seek a refund for them?
I have taken them home to my simple network and it still keeps dropping off the network.
Most of the time it can still be accessed via the pogoplug web account website but not locally via the drive mapping software or even its network name.
I had started using the ip address that it was getting from my routers dhcp as I started to think maybe the problem was a dns issue, but it looks like when it is having problems I still can't browse to file shares via any means except through the pogoplug site, but I can get a ping reply from its local IP address.
I am only using Seagate goflex 1tb drives now as they are designed for the goflex net dock so I'd assume they are meant to work without error or mac address conflicts as previously suggested by support...
Just now, I still couldn't access the drive so I removed it and then put the same one back in again and now I'm able to see it on the network again like everything is ok! My guess is that the device's WFS is going to sleep and doesn't wake up unless the dock is power cycled or the drive is replugged back in which kicks it off to detect and share the drive via WFS?
Regards
Matt

Hi
After our talk on the phone last week I have tried your recommendations of using the Seagate setup on my home network instead of my work network which has a domain and I am still having problems with the device needing to be power cycled all the time because it disappears off the network. The Seagate dock is connected now to my home router via a brand new cat5 1mtr cable, so distance from router shouldn't be an issue now either.
Any other help you can provide?
Matt
