The GoFlex Net has one each 1TB Seagate GoFlex drive plugged into it. The drive is formatted with HFS+
i power everything on and I can see/connect to the drive with Pogoplug Disk, my,pogoplug, and SMB direct over the net. It works for about 4-6 hours then I assume the drive sleeps or the GoFlex Net device goes in powersave
I am unsure which, but i think its the GoFlexNet device. The Device adapter still shows a solid green light and 2 of 4 activity/capacity lights are on. However I cannot reach the drive at all. Even hitting the my.pogoplug.com refresh/attach driver, reload from the Disk app, etc fails to bring the drive back. I have to powercycle the GoFlexNet to get it to work. I plugged in a known good WD External USB Drive to the USB port and it worked fine for the same amount of time, then it dropped with the GoFlex drive and neither would come back.
I don't really know whats going on. Its like it wont receive a "wake on LAN" command, and/or the whole box is dropping off the net and won't wake. Is there a way to alter the Linux stuff on SSH to solve this, or something else i can do to keep it "awake?" It doesn't make much sense to have a remote accessible drive for when i am travelling if its not going to wake up when I need it.
Configuration from User to drive is as follows:
MacBook Pro
Airport Extreme
GoFlex Net Device plugged hardwire into the port on the Airport Extreme
1ea 1TB Go Flex Ultra Portable HDD plugged into left slot (looking from front)
(I removed the USB 500GB WD Drive)
It seems to me these Seagate drives have Sleep issues all over as I can't even plug the GoFlex Ultraportable into the USB on the Extreme and have it not go into permanent sleep. Seagate really needs to get off thier butts and give out a FW update that will disable/ modify these settings. WD Drives can switch off from the firware with a simple utility.

Update:
Its definitely the GoFlex Net device. I unplugged the GoFlex drive and plugged it back in and it still didn't come back.
The device remained with a solid green LED with the drived disconnected and the two bars for that slot it.

Update #2:
Sorry for all the updating, but as i discover things, i am plugging it in here.
It definitely the GoFlex Device. I could SSH into it earlier, now its just hung up.
Any solutions?
Does OpenPogo or something similar provide the same basic functionality and solve these issues?
