Write access to OneTouch II

I have a OneTouch II. I just want to use it as an external HD. I don't care aobut the one touch features. I can see the drive, but it will not allow me to write directly to it. is there any easy way to dummy this HD down so that it is just an external HD? I just want to use it with my PogoPlug.
