1394 external drive Model Number FWRR080QVS001 / S/N 664204552131

 On a HP 873n, Windows Media Edition XP

I bought htis one used. everything was said to work.I believe the man I recieved it from.

Now the HP will not see the 1394 External. When AC cord is plugged in the "red" power lite comes on and when plugged into the 1394 plug the "Green" lite flashes. But HP doesnot see the drive. Also the lite in the power supply falshes the same pulse as the drive green lite.

If the troubleshooter doesn't resolve your problem, could you please post the report from Microsoft's UVCView utility?
