Hi

 

I have a Maxtor Basic Potable Storage.

I can’t save or past any files in the external hard drive.

I accidentally deleted a folder which was named something like this (2dfe455hh34sdfgt) and inside that folder there was another folder named (update) – I don’t know what kind of files were there in the UPDATE folder. Since then I can’t paste any files into the external hard drive. The external hard drive can be read (I can open files that are already saved in the drive) but when I try to save files in the drive, a message box shows “the file or directory has been damaged”  

 

I download (Windows Auto run icons for the Maxtor Basics Portable external drive) to fix the problem but I can’t past the provided auto run files into the external drive. I also download (Seatools) to check the drive but I can find any problem from the seatools.

 

Please give me any advice on this problem.
