500 GB Expansion Portable drive USB 2.0 not getting detected

Hi my 500 GB expansion portable drive is not getting detected only green light is being shown ( no blinking and no beep sound ). Tried using Seatools for windows but nothing is being shown in that and also tried trouble shooting for windows 7 but all in vain. the device is not being shown under disk management. please help be resolve this as data is very important for me.
