Installed Seagate Legacy 3.5 external hard drive and it does power up but I can't hear it working nor does it even work at all. I plugged in the power adapter and a single usb cable into the front of the tower and the computer found the new hardware. I click on "my computer" and the drive is not listed. I click on the device manager and it is listed but with a exclamation point next to it. The computer says it is active but that it may not be working properly and it is right. It is not working at all. I run windows xp professional 32 bit. I appreciate all the help that you guys can give me.
