I've a Maxtor Personal Storage 3200 USB Drive that's giving error messages when verifying backups I've made with MACRIUM Reflect. Although I can move files to and from the drive ok, I don't feel I can trust the backups while it's giving these errors.
I've done a full reformat from Disk Management but still get errors.
I tried Seatools for Windows (SeaToolsforWindowsSetup-1204.exe) but it reports Test Unavailable for all tests on the drive. I'm running Windows 7.
Where should I go from here? Can the drive be made usable or is it fit only for the scrap heap?
Thanks

I've found that the generic tests run:
I can't see why if there are no problems with the test, the verification always fails. It's ok with another couple of Seagate drives I use, rotating the three.
thanks in advance!
