I recently moved across the country (had all of my stuff transported by train). When I arrived and plugged in
my push button backup, the only sign of life I could see from it was a momentary flicker of the blue light normally indicating that it was running. The power brick has the green light constant so I don't think the problem lies with that. I haven't taken the unit apart yet. It was working perfectly last month before I left. Do you think that I should just buy a used working unit somewhere and just switch out the hard drive or maybe I'm overlooking something else. One thing that I'm curious about and maybe someone can comment about is...is the unit supposed to be able to power up by itself if it's not in fact connected to the pc via usb? I can't remember myself if this occurs or not. Thanks for the input.
