My problem is that I have formatted my external hard drive which is the Maxtor Personal Storage 3200. I have formatted it to FAT32 in Order to switch between home (windows) and school (macintosh). I need to edit videos in final cut pro. In the beginning it was actually working fine. However now the mac KEEPS ejecting my drive after a few minutes. I cannot edit or really do ANYTHING. The moment I open or final cut pro file or anything really, my external hard drive ejects itself. Even when I don't do anything to it after a few minutes it ejects itself. The first time I used it on the mac I had it plugged in for the whole day at school and nothing happened.
This is so fustrating that it's really screwing up my ability to finish my work. I don't get why windows and mac can't have something they both can work with format wise and I don't understand why this Maxtor Personal Storage 3200 is so useless. I don't even know if it's been damage at this point. I checked with the mac drive reader and it says its fine. I don't know if I dropped it and broke it. I'm just so fustrated not being able to do my work and all.
I don't know who else to ask besides the manufacture on this issue. So hopefully I get some feedback. By that I don't mean like by brushing me off.
