How to open a BlackArmor PS 110 drive (it's USB 3 connector is broken)?

Hello, I have a BlackArmor PS 110 500GB external drive with the USB 3.0 interface. I have it loaded full of all my personal data. Yes, yes - I know, I should've made a mirror backup before now. I was trying to get to that!

Anyway, the USB 3 interface socket within the drive body is broken. The guts of it, seem to slide away when I press the USB cable into the socket, such that it never makes contact. I'm hoping that I can do a quick fix by opening the drive case, holding that connector in place as I plug the cable in, and copy my data off it - then I can send it in for repair/replacement, or whatever. The urgent thing is to get my files, pdq.

Q: How do you open this case?  I don't see any screws or anything. I even peeled off the label thinking the screws might be beneath that, but they're not. Does anyone know?

Thanks for your help,

James Hurst

Re: How to open a BlackArmor PS 110 drive (it's USB 3 connector is broken)?

I was looking for the answer to this one too. I assume the OP has already moved on but for future searchers: I started fiddling with it and got lucky after under a minute. I just dug around with my fingernails on the top edge of the case and it gave way. It is stuck on with some strong double-sided tape. Now I can swap out my laptop's 320GB drive for this 500GB one and it only cost me $65 (Refurb unit).
