RMA FreeAgent Xtreme, came back FreeAgent GoFlex

To whom it may concern,

I have recently send my FreeAgent Extreme External Harddisk (used for a year only) for RMA because of suspected bad sector.

when it came back, i was surprised that Seagate had my external harddisk model change.

i bought FreeAgent Extreme because i wanted to use the eSata connection as it is much faster. FreeAgent Xtreme was more expensive then then normal FreeAgent because it has eSata connection. After RMA, u actually gave me a GoFlex which the Desk Desktop Adapter is using USB2.0 connection ONLY. How do you expect me to tolerate such slow transfer speed.

Please note that eSata connection speed is equivalent to USB3.0 speed or FireWire.

Please do something about this as i felt very cheated by Seagate.

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you contact your Seagate Support agent, or do you need me to have that done for you?

Hi Alan,

Thank you for your response.
I have just received the GoFlex External harddisk today only.
I live in Singapore. I have browse but was unable to find a Seagate Support agent.
Could you please help me on this case.
I have also sent an email regarding this to the warranty support team.
I am currently in need of the external storage. Please help to resolve this asap.
Please support me USB3.0 as that can match the speed of eSATA connection. I'm currently using a PC and is already on USB3.0 already.
Thanks a lot.
Here are the details of my RMA
Let me know if you require more details.

Seagate Order Number is 1004270315
Return Product : Seagate FREEAGENT XTREME drive, 0-RPM 1394/USB2.0/SATA, 1000 GB
Model #: ST310005FPM203-RK
