Hi
I have just bought a Mac Air and want to transfer all the data from my pc to it, and provide a back up at the same time. I have loads of old photos that I will store on the GoFlex rather than the mac.
I downloaded Paragon HFS+ for Windows 8.0 (and that took ages to realise I needed it then find the download - a link in the instruction manual would have been nice Seagate!) onto my PC (windows Vista 2007)
I then copied over my iTunes files, some personal documents and 1 10GB photo file. Clicked to safely eject, plugged into MacAir and worked a dream.
I then ejected it safely, went back to my PC and copied over the rest of my photos (approx 200GB) and it crashed at about 47GB. My pc was totally frozen and I had to reboot it. I then spent hours (upto 1.30am last night!) to copy the files one at a time,
When it is in my mac it sees a file name but no pictures or data inside.
When it is in my pc and I click on a file on the pc it says 'the file xxxx is not accessible. The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable'
Please can someone help me?
I am sooooo tired of spending most my weekend googling for help! I have uniinstalles and reinstalled Paragon HFS+ for Windows 8.0 and run a scan on the disk, restarted my machine a few times and no joy.
Thanks!
.
