Hi all I have been using my seagate external hard drive to back up my computer with all data for my PC. I'm about to purchase a Mac book I understand the hard drive is Mac compatibly how can I transfer all the data backed up on the drive to my new Mac when it arrives. For example files, music, pictures etc. Will I lose some of the data in the transfer. Thank you for your kind assistance

Re: Help with Seagate external hard drive move from PC to Mac

Hello,

You will be able to use the drive with Mac. There is a driver that needs to be installed on the Mac that allows your to write files to the drive from your Mac. Then you will be able to read and write to the driver. The driver is called Paragon, and here is the download link.

Once you install that file, you will need to reboot your Mac. Rebooting the Mac after the install is what activates this particular driver.
