Buy New GoFlex Desk or Old FreeAgent Desk?

I would like to get some opinions on which external hard drive to buy. The old generation of FreeAgent Desk and the new generation of GoFlex Desk are priced the same for 2 TB. I would really like to buy a new GoFlex Desk, but it only has a 2 year warranty whereas the old FreeAgent Desk has a 5 year warranty. If the GoFlex Desk came with USB 3.0 standard instead of USB 2.0 I would buy it no problem.

Due to the facts that GoFlex Desk's only have USB 2.0 and a 2 year warranty, I can't see a compelling reason to buy a GoFlex Desk when the old FreeAgent Desk seems like a better product with a better warranty.

P.S. Yeah, I could buy the USB 3.0 Adapter for $40 and perhaps I will if I see a herd of flying pigs.

New GoFlex Desk Runs cooler and I have had many less locking up problems with it.

[ Edited ]

I just bought a new  1.5TB Goflex desk. It is USB3.0 and warranty is 3 years for the drive.

(other components 90 days from date of purchase or two years if purchased in a European Economic Area Member State)

ps. I got 980Mbps read/write on a 1024Mb test using LANspeedtest (works on Local drives too)
