HELP!!! FreeAgent GoFlex 500g Hard Drive not detecting at all!!!

I have the slim external hard-drive: My system is windows-7 64x.

I've been invstigating and troubleshooting this drive for 3 days. I've been searching this forum, followed advice and tips and still can't resolve the problem!

The drive doesnt get detected by my laptop at all. It doesnt show in disk management. It doesnt show anywhere! When I plug it in the light comes on, but it doesn't detect! I've tried to comps and 4 diff usb plugs, nothing!

 

Is there anything else I can do to resolve this problem?

It sounds like you've tried a lot if not all troubleshooting steps. Have you also removed the adapter from the drive, then directly connected the drive to your computer's internal SATA connector?
