Pipeline HD in RAID 5

I've been searching all over but couldn't find any reasonable answer as to how would Pipeline HD drives (such as ST2000VM002) perform in a RAID 5 environment in a media server/storage server box. The request from my customer is to have 4 x 2TB in a striped RAID 5 and I was wondering whether I should go for the Pipelines or the Green Barracudas.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

Here is a link to our drives that are recommended for RAID use.

Re: Pipeline HD in RAID 5

But I don't need a high performance raid 5.

I need a RAID5 for backup to disk, it's only works a few hous per day.

I need cheap and green solution.

Thanks
