Whats the difference between the "regular" ST2000DM001 and the "green" ST2000DL003 ?
The specs seem to be the same on Amazon. I couldn't even find the ST2000DL003 on Seagate's Barracuda product page !?
The http://www.seagate.com/internal-hard-drives/deskto
I'm confused.
Could someone please tell me the difference between ST2000DM001 vs. ST2000DL003?
Any recommendation on which one to buy (ST2000DM001 is $10 cheaper).
Thanks.

7200 RPM vs 5900 RPM
Green drives aren't very good, so pick the DM.

Whats wrong with the green drives? Specifically the 2 TB Barracuda's?

They just don't seem to last long, it's the top Seagate model for early death and even WD has issues with their greens, as slave drives I think they are about where they are designed for, as boot drives buyer beware, and as raid drives totally unsuitable.
