Backup Plus Portable Problem

hello, i accidentally deleted the files that was with the hard drive and im wondering if i still can get it back? is it the same as the files downloaded in the support section of seagate? and also i happen to make my drive to mac only, how can i change its format and make it usable for windows and mac? thanks..

So, do you mean that you deleted the files that are meant to install the bundled software?

yes.. i already downloaded it and i'm confirming if its the same as the bundled that comes with the drive.. with regards with the use for windows and mac.. i've already chose the mac only but decided to change it to mac and windows, sadly i don't  and can't find a way to revert it back.. that's why i'm asking how to.. thanks..

Yes, it is the same.

 

To change it back, make sure you have the software saved on your computer's C: drive somewhere, like the Desktop.

 

Then connect the drive to a Windows PC and reformat it:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Create-and-format-a-hard-disk-partition

(Use the "quick format" option.)

 

Then reload the software back on it, safely remove it from the PC, and then you can start over again with the Mac.
