I've had this drive for awhile now, using it as a backup drive for my desktop and laptop (both have eSATA). I recently tried using it over USB, which worked fine initially, but then started getting I/O errors and died. It's very reproducable, it works 100% fine when connected to eSATA, but over USB, it works only for a limited time (less than a few hours, but I didn't babysit it - I set up a script to copy a file back and forth, and when I came back it was dead).
Anybody seen something like this before? I'm not sure if I'm within warranty, still. OS is Linux, although I'm sure that doesn't matter, it's just a USB drive. Thanks!

Is it totally unresponsive or can you still see it through eSata connections, if you can get your data off it and re-format it.
