So far I haven't been able to figure out how to get this running through Samba - SMB.
The Dosckstar sits on my network/router and pops up with attached drives in the Shared Sidebar in Snow - but not in Lion!
Of course I've already read a lot of bits about smb not working etc. in Lion - but I was wondering specifically about the Seagate Dockstar in particular. (Not sure if something like mucommander would work for me as I need actual direct read/write access and desktop mounting of drives.)
It's the network hub for my media center and holds backup/library files transferred from the Mac to the media drives after they have been created. - It also holds user data/files/work backups run by Chronosync, as well as shared disk space.
(FWIW I'm not code proficient, so no UNIX/Terminal solutions please unless they are very simple... otherwise I gloss over, LOL)
Thoughts anyone?
