Does the GoFlex work with the new iPad? I've read a review in the App Store that it doesn't. But that's just one user so I'd like to know. Plus, I watched the GoFlex Satellite getting started video and it says that everytime I make a movie purchase from the iTunes store I have to sync these purchases to my iPad. So what's the use of the product, if I'll have to sync these purchases and fill up my iPad with them? Do I sync and then delete so that the iPad knows that it's ok to stream them. I need someone to clarify this for me as I didn't understand that part of the "getting started" video.

I am using mine with the "New," Ipad and have had no issues. Make sure you update the drives firmware and get the newest Ipad App version and you should be good to go.

did you need to download the update software from the seagate website? I cannot seem to get the update software to update on the hard drive and inturn connect through the app on the ipad 2.

As I understand it the sync process exchanges some keys so the ipad can decrypt your latest purchases, regardless of where they are stored.
I'm no expert though. I don't generally buy movies from apple so its not a problem I've run into.
