I'm using a Cheetah 15k.6 SAS (ST3146356SS) connected to a RocketRaid 2640 SAS controller, configured as JBOD (one single drive). OS is Windows XP x64. Two SATA drives are connected to the same controller (one as JBOD, one as "legacy"). As the drive shows 38 relocated sectors I want to use Seatools to test it. The drive seems to be OK (it's the OS drive) and all sectors are readable.
Using Seatools i can see thre (logical ?) drives connected to the SAS controller but it cannot access them (all tests fail or Seatool crashes). It does not display any meaningful information about the two drives configured as JBOD, just "DISK". Not even the logical name. On other SATA drives on another controller in a non-RAID configuration Seatools works as it should.
What is the supposed way to use Seatools on an SAS drive?
