15K.6 drive availability

When will the 146GB 3.5" 15K.6 drives be available?  I want to replace my 320-2X SCSI RAID controller, 4 enclosures, and 18 SCSI 10K drives with SAS RAID using 8888ELP controller and your new 146GB 15K.6 drives.

Re: 15K.6 drive availability

I believe that they might be a few more months.  It is my understanding that certain OEMs are receiving their shipments at this time.

Re: 15K.6 drive availability

Thanks, I hate when OEMs get first shot.   They should put them in the channel for all.

Re: 15K.6 drive availability

I am looking at upgrading to SAS RAID using Seagate drives.  I just can't decide on 2.5" Savvio or 3.5" Cheetahs.   I would like to do 15K drives.  Not sure how they would hold up in the Michigan heat.   Supermicro has the enclosures for both.  I am looking at LSI Logic SAS RAID controllers 8708EM2 and 8888ELP.   I would love to work at Seagate.  I have used your drives for many years.  I started on a MFM 80MB ST4096 and your SCSI-I drives.
