You may all be aware of the Accepted Solutions feature, which is described in this announcement.

Every post that adds onto the thread after someone posts a question, ie, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th post, etc, will have this symbol to the right:

When one of those posts answers the question, either the original poster or a moderator can click on that button and mark the post as an Accepted Solution and the thread as a Solved thread.  The post that contains the answer will then take on a green color and this symbol will appear in it:

And then the original post will contain this symbol, indicating that the question has been answered:

Over the course of time, users and moderators have encountered posts that answer the question posed in the original post. The forum search function can allow you to search all the solved threads in the forum or in specific boards, or with even narrower search parameters.

Go to the forum home page and you will see this search section near the top of the page:

Click on Advanced.

Then you will be taken to the Advanced Search page.

Item #1 shows a menu by which you can choose a specific board to search in.

Item #2 is the checkbox to make the forum software search only the threads that have been solved.
Item #3 is the checkbox to display in the search results direct links to Accepted Solution posts.

Here are some sample searches:

-Search for all Solved threads in the Internal ATA/SATA drives board

-Search for all Solved threads in the FreeAgent drives board

-Search for all Accepted Solution posts in the Maxtor OneTouch board

-Search for all Accepted Solution posts in the Maxtor Shared Storage & Central Axis board
