My 1TB Backup plus portable drive stopped working after about 2 weeks. I plug it into my Macbook, the light does not show up and it does not pop up in my finder or my disk utility. I also tested it out on my Xbox. It didn't light up and wasn't recognized (FYI, I partitioned it before it stopped working).
I looked up the different topics in the troubleshooter and nothing seems to relate to my problem. I'm not really sure what to do now. Can someone help me out?

Have you tried replacing the data cable for your Backup Plus drive? Once you have, also move the drive to a main USB port and try it additionally on another system.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for the update.
I recommend speaking to our technicians by phone at this point to see if there are other options available to access the drive.

Could you report back with whatever they tell you to do. I have the feeling we have the same problem since I couldn't find anyone with similar problems. It won't show up in windows explorer so you can't access it but it still shows up in the device management?
