Any help would be great.. Thanks..  Need to fix this. 

I don't know what to do, never had this problem before, I've only usually formatted 500gb max till now. This is a first time issue.

been sitting there for like 30 hours. My disk manager is not saying anything other than online and formatting still for the drive.

rebooted and then I had to set the drive to Oline and then started to format again. Well at 73% it's just sitting there still and has

but the format gets to 73% and then seems to just sit there. after 24 hours of wating I needed to reboot, so I cancelled the format

I have used disk management to initilize the disk and all that and am up to formatting. Well I have told it to format the disk,

I have a new  1.5TB (1500G) 32M SATA2 Barracuda 7200.11. and I am using windows Vista Ultimate 64bit.

Since noone seems to answer on this forum, I kept searching and found a suggestion that people using NVidia Chipsets update their drivers to the latest ones. I did this and my format was successful next try around.
