I have a seagate 1TB 7200rpm Hdd only with 1 full partition. I use this hard disk to backup my data.
I use windows 7.Now when I plug HDD into my computer it shows "do you want to format it" and shows partition as RAW.
Since few days it was loosing its partition name from my computer but it was coming back when I open manage under my computer properties.
Lasd time when i was copying data from this hard disk to another just to empty it . But while copying computer again lost hard disk partition.
I think it lost its mbr info but i am not sure.
Please help I need my data very urgent.

Have you been removing it without using the safely remove icon?
I think you've suffered a delayed write failure, and the solution to that is to get a recovery program and that will find your files, and you should then be able to recover them, beware this is normally a 3 disk opp, as you need one to read the disk, and another to recover to depending on how much day vs space you have on any other drive other than the one that won't load up.
A couple of other things you could try, but don't play with it too much as you don't want this drive writing new information right now, is to go to disk management, check it's initilised and possibly assign it a drive letter, once you've done either of these there is very little chance of it ever showing up to be readable again without formatting first, and do not format it if windows says you have to, go straight to the recovery method, you will need a 3rd party program for this btw, PowerData Recovery is a very good program, and you must deep scan if you want everything back. hth.

If the data recovery program won't read it, try this, in disk management, right click on the smaller box with the drives name and make it initilise, basic ar bring online, you could face any of these three options, then it should ask you to format, DON'T, run the recovery again and the data should show up, worth checking once it's online if it's readable again anyway before you do anything else, it should pop up in My Computer, and you could also assign it a drive letter, just don't format it until you've had a chance to see if the files are visible again.
