Regarding ST31500341AS - Firmware: CC1G is there a new update that we should be using?
I've read about CC1H but cant help to wonder why there is already a another new firmware update for a drive that started selling with a 'new' CC1G firmware to correct the pervious problems?
Do they really not have a handle on what the problem is?
Why isnt there "Smart" tool created to simply determine what firmware is on the drive and load the correct version if available. Simple as that.
It is clear that they do not understand what the problem is and I am afraid that we will have to stop using Seagate drives now.
What is the purpose of these posts if support doesnt help us. It makes no sense for all of us to even post here because all we need is an update or not. Period.
QUESTION: Is CC1G erroneous and do we need the CC1H or newer firmware upgrade? Thank you
