Barracuda 2000GB Torx screws

Hi folks,

Can anyone help me, I think my PCB is fried and I am going to replace it. Only problem being is that the torx screws holding the board seem to be smaller han a T1. The screw diameter is 0.5 and point to point is like 0.3, 0.4.

Any ideas

Cheers

Gareth

7200.11 drives use Torx 6 screws. Maybe yours are similar ...

These screws are really small, Torx 6 measues 1.70mm while hese screws measue 0.3mm.

That's a strange one. Could we see a photo? Have you tried a mobile phone toolkit?

FWIW, the user in the following thread used a Torx 6 to remove the PCB from an ST2000DL003:

Do you have a different model?

Re: Barracuda 2000GB Torx screws

No you were right, I went down the street and bought a few Torx screws drivers £2.99 for a set of 5. Fitted great was able to remove it. Either the wiki sizing chart is wrong or I can't interpert it correctly but either way got it sorted. Thnks for the reply.
