Barracuda XT, Barracuda, Barracuda Green, DiamondMax and other desktop SATA and IDE drives

Hello i have a barracuda LP ST31000520AS fw CC32, bios does not detect it.
The pcb is 100536501, heads are not clicking.
When i give smart reset in terminal i get "Init SMART Fail" error, take a look to terminal log:

The barracuda 7200.11 solution doesn't work.

Why do i get "Init SMART Fail" message with LED CC error?

So, Im in the same boat as the guy above; No show at BIOS.. Is anything actually going to get done about these errors with these drives?

I saw there is a firmware update of CC35 but I highly doubt that will fix the drive even if I did manage to get it to detect in a manner to be flashed..

I would defintely like the data to be recoverable..
