I wanted to post this here in case anyone else had issues.
I recently suffered a hard drive issue where my boot drive (the one in the title) was not being recognised in the BIOS. The disk was spinning and not making any unusual noises, just not being recognised in the BIOS.
After a search on the web, I found this seemed to be an issue with the firmware on the drive. I downloaded and tried to update the firmware myself, but that didn't work.
In the end, I talked to a Seagate representative in online chat. After a few questions and answers, they identified it as a faulty batch and I was given a case number and a web address. I was told to go to the web page and fill it out. The website was a company called i365 which I think is Seagates own data recovery company.
Anyway, they picked the drive up on the Thursday by courier and by Tuesday I had it back in my hands, firmware updated and drive working...all data as was left.
I wanted to write this to let people know that Seagate did help me and it was a very efficient service to boot. I also wanted to post it so that if other people have an issue, they know it can be resolved.
Thx Seagate

Hi, I am from Europe: 'Germany'
My disc was dead too.
But the Seagate-Center at Amsterdam (Netherlands) recovered them within some days
and at NO COST :-)
Thanks SEAGATE
