Barracuda St3000DM001, high read and seek error rate

[ Edited ]

Hi,

i just got a certified repaired replacement drive(Firmware CC9E), but every access results in an seek oder read error (monitored with CrystalDiskInfo 5.0.2). From my experience with HDD's this is a clear sign that this drive should fail soon, yet seagate tools tells that it's fine and data remains undamaged/readable.

So is there something wrong with those smart values on those hard drives or should ask for another replacement?

EDIT: Nevermind, i just found this article:

Many of Seagate's SMART attributes are counterintuitive. Your drive most likely has zero seek errors.
