Re: Fix Broken Pin?

Hello,
Call 1-800-468-3472
Listen to the menu and choose the options for hard drive Warranty.
Have the drive serial number ready.

What happened now? Did you get a replacement circuit board, or did you have to ship the drive back for a complete replacement? I kinda have the same problem... :-(

I guess I'll have to call that number too.

[UPDATE] I called the number, they asked me to send them a picture of the broken pin (so that it's visible it's not just bent) and it was pretty obvious.

A few hours after I sent the mail, I had an RMA number. The new drive has a "Certified Repaired" label on it but other than that it's identical to the regular drive. Works like a charm too.

Thank you, Seagate!!
