I am having seagate ST2000DL003 2 TB Disk Green having following details :
MODEL NO : ST2000DL003
S/N : [Edited: Removed personal information per the community rules and regulations.]
P/N : 9VT 166 - 301
Firmware : CC32
My above hard disk is being detected in bios as ST_M13FQBL having 3900 MB capacity.
If I connect it as secondary, then windows does not detect it.
Is there any solution for this problem ?
If possible sent in Italian
Thank you
My pc have:
Motherboard Asus P5KC
Hd Maxtor 500 gb (primary)
The Hd Seagate 2 tb it's new, only connect to motherboard.
Bios see Hd but is impossible to format or recognize in Windows 7 (64 bit).
If i connect Hd 2 tb alone and i format with Windows 7 DVD, at the beginning of installation the hd is recognize with name ST_M13FQBL and is impossible to format.

Is a big problem because with this hd is impossible to work and this problem happens suddenlyand it's impossible to restore.
My Hd have the last firmware and in another pc have the same problem

Check the sata lead, it needs to have no kinks or tight bends and be inserted fully.
Failing that it's DOA drive and you should return it where you bought it for a new one, don't RMA it you'll get a refurb in exchange, a new drive deserves a new drive in exchange, only the reseller can do this for you.

You are saying that if is possible i can change the broken hd with a new but if this problem it's still happened on hd 7200 rpm maybe it could happened also on the new hd green.
I change brand ?

That will be up to the re-sellers discretion to either exchange for another brand or refund you.
All I'm saying is it looks dead and you should aim to get a new for new exchange, sending it in here simply gets you an exchange drive, which I wouldn't be happy with unless I'd owned the drive for over 6 mths.
