Hi all.
I have this Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS that stopped working after plugging the power connector the wrong way.
Drive is plugged through a SATA-power male to Molex-4-pin-female, I plugged the male molex into the female reversed, I didnt fully inserted the plug, I stopped right away when I heard the burning sound, but then I didnt realise the the plug was reversed so I tried to plug it again and finally noticed my big mistake. Plug was not fully inserted, just for 1 second each time, maybe just one pin make contact but it was enough to burn some resistors (or however they are called) on the PCB.

and it seems its the same issue, even though here I have 2 burnt inductors instead of just one.
Can someone confirm if this indeed the same issue and that it can be fixed with the same procedure?
I'm not really confident with soldering, so if I have to replace the PCB, can anyone recommend a good source for this, preferably in Europe?

OK I made a little of research myself and after all the reading as I understand it looks like I burned one inductor in the GND lines and another inductor in the 5V line, and that I can bridge them soldering a cable from one on the power connector pins to the TVS diode.
I made a scheme to myself to try to make it clear:

So I bridge one on the red pins in the power connector to the red pad in the diode, does that sound right?
According to this SATA Power connector pinout pin 7 is different to 8 & 9 in something I dont understand, which exact pin should I use?
Second question, what do I do with burnt inductor in the GND line? Does it need to be bridged too or should it work without it?
And third question, I read some mentions that the TVS diode should be taken out, is this case too with my situation when they appear to be intact (at least to my eyes...)
Any help would be appreciated...
