MX1A

Seems to be working.

my cpu is a bit crappy 1.8GHz so might not be best result.

no corruption as yet has been running MX1A for about an hour and half.

check my next post if you have nforce sata + win vista

---> MSI K9N Neo - Athlon 64 X2 5200+ - 2GB Geil ddr2 ultra pc6400 - Leadtek tv 2000 xp - western digital WD1600JB - Geforce 7600GT

all fried to death thanks to Colorsit 450 Watt psu going rebel and outputting +15.5 volt on +12 volt line, +7 volt on +5 volt line, -7volt on -5volt line.

Now stuck with:
MSI KT3 Ultra (thats a cracking board for its age)
Athlon 1800+ (1.533GHz)
Some value DDR 266 (256MB X2)
Barracuda 7200.8 (80GB) (they dont make them like this anymore)
Geforce2 MX 100/200 DDR (try playing Fallout 3 or Burnout Paradise on one of these)
Some jerky opto mouse (overvolt must have frightened it)
A keyboard which sends a return keypress when the letter 'v' is pressed (must have got scared too)

Re: MX1A

The results are in.

MX1A is definitely working.

Compared with a couple days ago.

Nothing different apart from 1 bad block that is now not there.

But this is plugged into my nforce controller. Within 20 minutes using MX15 the drive would have at least 20% bad blocks.

Those bad blocks that are there now can be fixed with a reformat.

Re: MX1A

Just try to format the drive after you flashed it.

Hopefully the bad blocks will be gone.

Re: MX1A

re :smileyhappy:

I reformated my hdd with this tool

http://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/telechargement-34056732-hdd-low-level-format-tool

and after there is no more bad cluster.  nothing after 5 test hdd with hd tune pro.

But the problem is the smart report , my new hdd is at middle of life in the smart diag.

there is no solution to reset this parameter ?
