What does the label NON-SHIPPABLE mean on a hard drive?

Re: NON-SHIPPABLE Label

Could you please:

1) Private message me the serial number?
2) Take a picture of the label?

3) BLUR OUT the serial number on the label, then

4) Post the picture here?

Re: NON-SHIPPABLE Label

I would assume that is either it's not for sale and is a refub, or it's been retired and somehow you've managed to buy one that should be in the bin, don't quote me on it though.

Re: NON-SHIPPABLE Label

I have repalced the odd disk and none of the replacements had any such label.

last RMA, Seagate gave me a brand new disk which reallly make me happy.

I suspect such a disk was dumspter dived and should be considered with suspicion.
