Hi all
Im attempting to revive my ST3500320AS with the new firmware availble but while using the boot CD and after selecting my drive i recive the follwing "Error: SPecific model not found ST3500320AS expected". Having done a bit of looking arround it was sugested that i turn off AHCI but my mobo does not appear to have settings for that.
I did disable first "Enhanced" SATA mode in the bios settings, going with "compatible", no luck. So then i tried it with the "disabled" setting and still no luck. The CD boot program can see the drive but while attempting to update the firmware i get that error message.
I have unplugged all other SATA devices and non essential usb periferals.
Any ideas?
