I know windows does not support the 3TB capacity so I decided to use seagates disk wizard but I'm having nothing but problems.
I thought you can use the disk wizard to create another partition so the capacity will be seen as 3TB. I have even tried the add new disk, and set partition size manually but I do not see how I can create another partition on the same drive to allow the 3TB.
When I try to add the new disk it shows the disk as 745GB. I then chose to delete partitions so I can continue, create new partitions in unallocated space, choose NTFS, primary drive; however on the next page it only shows a 2TB space and will not allow me to create another partition.
Am I doing something wrong?
If I must create a separate partition that's fine; but how can I use disk wizard to see all 3TB?

Hello,
Did you download DiskWizard from the Seagate site, or did Seagate send you a download link with a certificate code? I ask because the version that allows the computer to see the full 3TB is sent via link and certificate code. The reason why it has to be sent that way is because it has encryption. Let us know when you get a chance, and we can email you the download information.
If you have any other questions, please let us know.

thats the freeagent software that needs that, you are correct about two versions of Discwizard though, try these links from my set up thread http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/support/downloa
You'll need this also if you are running Intel http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/ch

GO TO disk management by
Right click my computer

Disregard my 1.5TB Failed Seagate even though i had upgraded trhe F/W to THEORETICALLY a workig F/W but it blew up and i had to use a trick to connect it as hyperterminal and now it is working enough for me to backup my data and throw that piece of garbage
