A new drive I just got (ST2000DM001) says it came with a 6 GB/s cable. I have another drive I want to hook up as well (ST2000DL003). I have a cable with seagate part # 100398942 on the package (sata power adapter in that also).
Anyways, I was wondering if there's any difference in cables, and if so is the one I have good for 6 GB/s? Is the DL drive even 6 GB/s?
Thanks!

There is no architectural difference between the cables of SATA 3 Gb/s and 6 Gb/s.
However it is recommended that for SATA 6 Gb/s that cables designed for that interface are used, as the cables that are on the lower end of the tollerance levels for 3 Gb/s may not be sufficient for handelling the 6 Gb/s signal rate.
More information here: http://www.serialata.org/documents/SATA-6-Gbs-The-
Also both those hard drives seem to be using the 6 Gb/s interface.
