Hey everyone,
I hope I just got a "simple problem". I want to update the Firmware of the ST3000DM001-HDD. I don't got any problems/noise or something like that, BUT for my NAS (Netgear) it needs to run the Firmware CC4H.
Now the problem: I've downloaded the folowing update-tool http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/22
Then i run that tool, it restarts my Computer, it runs a DOS-Tool where the Firmware should updated (i think ^^).
On this DOS-Tool it shows me the Error-Message "Kernel Interrupt" and dont run the update.
I hope somebody could help me. ![]()

Hey Guys,
I found the "mistake". I've connected the HDD on an other Computer (with Intel-CPU), run the Firmware-Tool and all is fine. Update works good.
In my Computer is an AMD FX 4100 CPU. Maybe this generation of CPU doesn't support the DOS-Tool?
