ST31000528AS firmware upgrade CC37 to CC48

My ST31000528AS drive currently has firmware CC37 and I would like to upgrade to CC48.  However when I run the windows utility, it reboots my computer and nothing much happens.  All I get is a screen that warns me not to interrupt the computer, and then says "Please press 'c' to go back to Windows/Linux OS".

I see no error message, no progress meter, no nothing.  When I run my serial number 9VP1PFNW through the serial number web checker, it says "No download available for this serial number."  I'm confused what this means.  I thought all drives should be running the latest firmware?  Should I force the firmware upgrade or leave it as is?

Try the CD ISO version of the updater. As for forcing the update, I can't advise whether an update is necessary, nor am I aware of any changelog.
