i bought this ST31500341AS on boxing day from NCIX.ca it works perfectly at first couple weeks but it sounds wired now. it just like there is some metal part broken inside the disk. and, it is slow now.
HD tune shows the read/write spend keep changing dramatically from 0 to 120M/s and avg is 80M/s. it was over 110M/s at the beginning.
boot up computer needs longer time, now my Gigabyte m/b can not recgnize it at all.
just let u guys know that 1.5T with CC1G has same problem like other Seagate HDD
plz let me know if anyone has better firmware to update CC1G. be honest i don't believe this is a simple firmware update issue. I expect Seagate stand out and recall all of these problem HDD.
