Please test the drive with SeaTools for DOS - http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=201271&NewLang=en

hi,

have the same problem on ST9250315AS drive. laptop hangs up suddenly and after reboot in bios i've found that hdd has 0mb...

seatool, victoria - show the same pictures as Nguyen Dang Duc's pictures.

and very intresting respond from seagate tech support. "According to the the serial number you’ve provided, the drive is an OEM drive. This means that the drive was originally manufactured by Seagate, but it was sold to your computer manufacturer. When sold, we also sold all rights to provide warranty on the drive and it is no longer a Seagate drive."

any news about this hdd problem?

It looks like both of these drives are faulty and should be replaced.

For OEM drives, you need to contact the OEM.

Otherwise, Seagate Warranty Support can help you replace the drive.  Best to do so online.  If you do not have a backup of your data, you'll need to use data recovery to get the data first.

I have seen attestations by several data recovery professionals in the HDD Guru forums that 7200.12 drives respond to the same DIY fix as 7200.11 drives.

See this thread:
